NIMIR Energy and LONGi joined hands in producing highly efficient and cost-effective solar solutions to accelerate solar power production in Pakistan.
NIMIR Energy Pakistan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with LONGi Solar to resolve Pakistan’s ongoing energy crisis.
LONGi is a Chinese solar solutions provider recognised as the best PV company worldwide. The company LONGi is committed to transforming the earth into a planet with no or zero carbon footprint. The highly efficient and industry-leading solar products and solutions of LONGi are used worldwide to produce sustainable and clean energy. LONGi’s advanced photovoltaic modules and solar technology commit to powering the future with green energy.
NIMIR Energy, a part of the NIMIR Group, is Pakistan's leading renewable power company. The NIMIR group has been operational in Pakistan since 1964.
The accord signed between NIMIR Energy and LONGi is a big step towards combating the energy crisis in Pakistan. This strategic partnership aims to revolutionise energy production in Pakistan by utilising clean and renewable power generation.
Pakistan mainly relies on fossil fuels for energy production. Due to the scarcity of natural gas, oil, and coal, the electricity generated by fossil fuels costs very high.
The MoU focuses on the collaboration of NIMIR Energy and LONGi to explore opportunities in solar energy projects. NIMIR Energy and LONGi share a mutual interest in capacity building and development and adaptation of solar energy and promoting it at Pakistan's residential, commercial and industrial scales.
The COO of NIIR Energy, Waqas Ahmed Rana, said:
“We are delighted to enter into this strategic partnership with LONGi, a company that shares our commitment to advancing renewable energy solutions.Through this collaboration, we will combine our strengths and resources to drive innovation and promote the widespread adoption of solar energy, contributing to a more sustainable future.”
The Country Head of Sales LONGi, Melvin Hu, proclaimed
“LONGi is excited to join forces with NIMIR Energy, a respected player in the renewable energy sector. Together, we can unlock new opportunities and create lasting impact by accelerating the deployment of solar energy projects worldwide. This collaboration exemplifies our dedication to addressing the challenges of climate change through technology innovation and sustainable business practices.”
Pakistan has a vast potential for producing solar energy. Solar power is Pakistan's optimal energy production resource, with a total energy demand of 100 terawatt hours and high electricity bills.
NIMIR and LONGi envision tackling the energy shortage by providing high-quality and affordable solar solutions for the public of Pakistan.
