Karachi: Solar experts at the 3rd Solar Clean Energy Conference emphasized the need to optimize green power production in Pakistan to provide uninterrupted power supply to every household in the country.
In collaboration with the Sindh Energy Department and AEDB, Energy Update organized the Solar Clean Energy Conference to promote green energy production in Pakistan. The Solar Clean Energy Conference attracted a diverse audience of solar retailers, installers, and industrial professionals.
Speakers highlighted the inadequacy of utility-scale renewable projects in Pakistan and underscored the importance of how green energy can support the economy of Pakistan.
Pakistan's total installed PV capacity is predicted to reach 12.8 GW by 2030 and 26.9 GW by 2047, according to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA). Recognizing the market potential, numerous worldwide solar integration and product businesses have accelerated the adoption of renewable energy solutions in the country, with a recent emphasis on extending its product lineup in the C&I energy storage sector.
Transitioning to solar power will offer uninterrupted electricity to the public of Pakistan at the cheapest rates.
The Consul General of the United Arab Emirates, Bakhteet Ateeq Al Romaithi, stated that UAE will fully support developing and implementing renewable energy projects in Pakistan. He said that students of Pakistan should be adequately trained and educated about the significance of renewable energy.
According to him, Pakistan should fully utilize the upcoming COP-28 Conference, which will be held in Dubai, to actively seek international assistance for initiatives to reverse the catastrophic effects of climate change. This is because the two brotherly Islamic nations have long-standing close relations.
