Former Prime Minister Sharif offered the UAE the full support of Pakistan for COP28 in recognition of the UAE's efforts to tackle climate change and build renewable energy projects. He expressed gratitude to the UAE for helping Pakistan through the disastrous floods of the previous year. Shehbaz Sharif also acknowledged the UAE's essential assistance to Pakistan in achieving a staff-level deal with the IMF. The Special Investment Facilitation Council, which aims to assist foreign investors in various sectors, was also discussed by the former prime minister with the delegation. The 10,000 MW solar energy projects, for which a road show had already been held in Dubai, were also discussed.
