LONGi and three other Chinese solar expert companies commit to optimizing Pakistan's solar market by providing reliable PV solutions.
Recently, LONGi and three certification and testing institutions of China, including SGS (Shanghai), SGS (Qingdao), and Intertek, signed an accord to optimize the solar market with high-end solar products.
In the strategic cooperation signing ceremony held in Shanghai, the four parties signed an agreement to strengthen cooperation in the PSI+COC certification and testing necessary for PV modules whose target destination is the Pakistani market.
To preserve customer rights and interests and ensure the long-term growth of LONGi's panels business, the four parties will actively certify the sustainable development of LONGi's products.
LONGi has been the leading player of solar solutions providers. And from the year 2012 to 2022, the company produced a total of 290GW PV products. The cumulative output of these solar solutions is over 1,148,287 GWh.
The Pakistani market demands distributed and centralized solar systems for residential, commercial, and industrial use.
Ali Majid, General Manager, Pakistan, LONGi Solar, also attended the ceremony to sign the agreement.
“In recent years, the Pakistani government has successfully formulated several related policies. Thus, the country’s photovoltaic industry has shown good development potential. According to Pakistan’s long-term power plan – the Indicative Generation Capacity Expansion Plan (IGCEP), the cumulative installed capacity of photovoltaics will reach 12%, or 13.2GW, by 2030, and the government will continue to provide maximum support for renewable energy projects. The global photovoltaic industry is developing in full swing. He underscored that China-Pakistan cooperation in related industries could contribute to the global response to climate change,” he underscored. He also said that net metering policies and incentives had been introduced to distributed generations to allow consumers to save money on electricity bills by sharing excessive energy with the utility grid.
China is leading in producing solar energy and is a prime solar investor in Pakistan. PV power generation is believed to take Pakistan out of the darkness of load shedding and help the country combat the energy crisis. Solar power can potentially optimize fossil fuel-based energy structures while saving foreign exchange needed for energy imports.
